Is the free tier really free forever?
Yes. The free tier covers everything most people need — photo logging, manual entry, calorie + macro tracking, weekly summaries, the streak system. Pro adds unlimited AI estimates, deeper trend analysis, and weight projections, but it's an upgrade you can take or leave.
Is my data sold?
No. We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We do not share your info with marketing partners. Your meal photos are processed for your nutrition estimate and never used to train AI models.
What happens to my meal photos?
Photos are sent to our AI provider for the nutrition estimate, then discarded from the inference pipeline. They aren't used to train models, aren't shared with marketing partners, and aren't stored beyond what your account needs to show you the meal again.
Does Healthy Bears replace medical advice?
No. Healthy Bears estimates calories and macros to help you track. It is not a medical device and is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, dietitian, or other qualified professional. If you have a medical condition (diabetes, kidney disease, eating disorder, or anything similar), please consult your healthcare provider before relying on Healthy Bears's targets.
How is my calorie target set?
A 10-minute onboarding sets your target based on your weight, height, age, activity level, and goal (lose / maintain / gain). No generic 2,000 kcal default. You can adjust the target later in Settings.
